Cyanotypical
March 30, 2011
Recently a few education staff members decided to test their printmaking prowess as preparation for a public program. Here are two versions of a cyanotype print we made with feathers. The top print was made by placing a glass plate on top of the feathers to hold them steady. The bottom print was made without the plate.

Gosh I love this! The print without the glass plate is most aesthetically pleasing to me, but even more to that I am in love with the comparison. What great ground for inquiry and provoked conversation! It would be fun to show the latter print first and have people guess what the item was or describe how it makes them feel đŸ™‚
